New Year’s Day, beginning of the quarter, your birthday, even Independence Day.  What day do you “start over”?  What day do you draw a line under what has been, turn the page and move on with the “rest of your life”?

With a slightly face red, I confess that I have used all of them as a points to say from now on…

July 3rd is my birthday and like most other people living in the US, I take off July 4th.  It’s a day with no real obligations so it’s a perfect day to reflect.

To reflect on:
What has gone well this past year?  (And there has been a lot!)
What have been my challenges?
Where do I feel I’ve fallen short of my own expectations?
What have I learned about myself, my world?
What have I come to believe?
What does it all mean for the choices I have in this next year?
What am I committed to doing?

Oh yes, and what am I grateful for?

Any day can be the first day of the rest of your life.  So don’t wait another day.  July 6th or 7th will do nicely!

Until next Tuesday,

Elizabeth
